News You Might Have Missed
This week's round up of things that might have slipped through the crack in your news consumption:
- As if they needed more problems. There's a cholera outbreak spreading in Iraq.
- Probably not the recognition they wanted. Somalia named worst governed country in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Oh, those crazy Alaskan politicians. Representative Don Young changed an earmark after it was already signed into law.
- How do you say "liar" in Spanish? A transcript of a 2003 talk between Bush and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria reveals Bush was dead set on war, all the while publicly proclaiming hope for a peaceful resolution.
- Nothing could possibly go wrong with this. Contractors are jumping into the drug war.
- Buy hey, at least we've got those yellow ribbons on our cars. Wounded vets still getting poor care, even after promises of change.
- You can't make this stuff up. Bin Laden may have gotten away at Tora Bora. Again.
- Eh, what's $9 billion more? Congress approves new funding for Iraq.
- Who needs clean air and water, anyway? EPA cracking down on fewer cases under Bush.
- California's not the only one with problems. The largest tundra fire ever recorded on Alaska's northern slope continues to burn.

You can add that the state of MI is on the verge of shutting down if they don't come up with a new budget soon. There is a stop gap measure in effect right now, but who knows if they will get a budget.
Thanks for all the updates on things that the regular news people don't cover, but should in some way shape or form.
Wow,
You'd think the Bin Laden hunt would be more newsworthy than the OJ crap but I guess I'm so out of touch with what the mass public appeal is.
@anonymous 2:32-Wow, that sounds like a problem.
You're welcome. And the MSM wonders why people are running to the Internet.
@anonymous 9:43-Well, if you're out of touch, so am I. At least we won't be out of touch alone. ;)
